Dr Nic Hayward visited the Veterinary Hospital at the National University of Costa Rica to deliver a series of lectures to veterinary students. Coincidentally, a brand new ultrasonography machine had just been delivered, so it was immediately hooked up to a large monitor so that all the students were able to see the machine being put through its paces.
Nic also spent time in the hospital with the clinical staff, discussing clinical cases and seeing the excellent standard of clinical care undertaken by this dedicated group.
Thanks to the British Small Animal Veterinary Association for their kind donation of veterinary manuals, which are now part of the Hospital library for staff and students to access.
